The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair will be taking place in Manchester from 23rd-26th October 2008 at the prestigious Manchester Grammar School. This is a new annual selected fair in the North where original cutting edge contemporary craft can be purchased and commissioned directly from some of the UKs leading designer-makers.
There are a large range of designers exhibiting their work each with their own specialised are - so viewing is a must. A few of the designers exhibiting are:

Over 130 of the most innovative and influential designer-makers in the UK (with a particular emphasis on those from the North of England) have been selected to showcase the finest works of contemporary craft, creating an inspirational mix of ceramics, glass, jewellery, textiles, metalwork, wood, furniture and more. The show will feature established names in craft as well as new makers. It will provide a unique shopping experience where you can treat yourself, buy one-off gorgeous gifts for Christmas or invest in a beautiful piece for the home.

Friday 24th October , noon til 9.00pm
