This card is very simple to make as long as you have some patience, time a clean working area. In my opinion there is no right or wrong way to make this card.
1. Start by placing one your chosen coloured papers over the top of the white card, and messure the length and width of the paper so that it cuts just short of the card(as shown in picture). Once you have carefully cut out your background using the craft knife and steel ruler for a perfect neat slice use the glue stick to attached the paper to your card.
2. Next choose your second coloured paper and messure a long thin strip, this is normally a 1/3 of the width of your background. If the paper you are using is quite thin, you could always back it with card board which will make it look thicker. Using the glue stick again carefully place the long strip of coloured paper over one side of your background paper.
3. Now for the tricky bit, on the design in the photograph I have made the outline of a flower using the gold wire, but you dont have too, you can make any shape you like! Remember the fine gold wire is very fine and any wrong bend you make will mis-shape the wire to make it difficult to create your desired shape. Cut off using wirer cuters an arms length of the fine gold wire, and bend round to create the flower shape, i find that double wrapping it round the centre makes the design more secure.
4. Plug in your glue gun and let it heat up, usuing a very tiny amount dribble on to the centre of the flower and quickly but very carefully place on the centre of the background.
It might be an idea to get your materials ready and cut to the shapes you want before actually sticking them to the card. The less mistakes made the better...! Remember glue guns are hot and can burn your fingers so please use carefully, it dries very hard so you dont need much as its very strong and can be seen on things as it dries white, this is why you dont need to use a large amount.
Your card is now complete, if you make your card and are really happy with it, take a picure and send it to me id love to see other ideas that people have.
