I am hosting a jewellery party in a few weeks and need to create some good quality and professional looking displays.
So I got my thinking cap on and decided that I didnt have to buy anything it was just as easy to make it myself.

I need to display some really classy and sparkly bracelets, so i took some heavy weight black shiney silk, which i had spare from a party. I thought that the best way to make the product stand out was to use a contasting colour. You can use anything you have lying round the house, old table cloths, bed sheets - even towels would make a great effect...im going to make my next from an old rug to display wooden bangles...

Materials needed -

Material of choice
a colour cotton that matchesyour material choice
needle / sewing machine
sissors
stuffing (an old cushion is perfect for this)
a large work surface and room to measure out your material

So, decide how long you want your tube to be and measure out on the floor, choose a decent width and double it as its going to be folded ready for sewing.

Once you have cut out a long rectangle shape from your material you are ready to sew it together, if you are using a material which is patterened on one side and this is the side you want as your display effect make sure its on the inside of the fold, youll see why shorlty.

Once you have folded your material you are ready to sew it together, i found it best to use the sewing machine but if you dont have access to one then by hand is fine, it might just take a little longer!
stitch down the length of the material then down one width, leave one end open as this is where you will need to stuff your tube.

Now turn the stiched tube inside out, so that your patterend side is facing outwards, you are no ready to stuff and you shouldnt have any holes or bear stiches on this side. Take your stuffing (i used an old cushion insert) and carefully push it through the tube untill it squeezes in at the bottom and then work your way up to the top taking your time to make sure that the stuffing is evenly distributed through the tube!

Your display tube is nearly complete - carefully stitch the open end once you are happy with the amount of stuffing you have but in your tube. Trim any loose ends of cotton and material.

Now place your product on the tube and style it in anyway you like.
